Chuning Li is a Graduate Student Research Assistant at the Vector Institute, specializing in deep learning theory since August 2022. Prior to this, Chuning worked as an Advanced Analytics Professional and Technical Specialist at Definity, where responsibilities included data science, R&D, and coaching. Experience in academia includes serving as a Sessional Instructor for a capstone course in predictive modeling at the University of Waterloo. Prior actuarial roles at Economical Insurance involved actuarial pricing and analysis, culminating in the position of Senior Actuarial Analyst. Additional actuarial co-op positions at Manulife and data management experience at the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change further enhance Chuning's diverse skill set. Chuning is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at the University of Toronto, expected to complete in January 2024.
