Sushant Sachdeva

Sushant Sachdeva is an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of computer science, currently serving as an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science, University of Toronto since August 2017. Sachdeva has also held the position of Assistant Professor at the same department and is a Faculty Affiliate at the Vector Institute. In January 2024, Sachdeva began a role as a Visiting Researcher at Google, focusing on distillation for large language models. Previous experiences include serving as a Visiting Scientist at the Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing and as an advisor at Cinchy. Prior roles include research positions at Google, Yale University, and UC Berkeley, where Sachdeva was a Postdoctoral Associate and Fellow at the Simons Institute for Theoretical Computer Science. Sushant Sachdeva obtained a Ph.D. in Theoretical Computer Science from Princeton University and a B.Tech. in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
