Mike Porter is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in drafting and design, currently serving as a Senior Draftsman at Vector Structural Engineers since February 2002. Prior to this role, Mike worked as a Draftsman at L. R. Nelson Consulting Engineers from January 2000 to February 2002 and undertook freelance work as a Theatrical Makeup Artist from September 1990 to January 2020. Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Anthropology from the University of Utah, completed between 1998 and 2002, as well as an Associate of Science degree in Architecture from Salt Lake Community College, earned from 1992 to 1995.

After our initial layout and review, our engineers will communicate with you about areas where minor architectural revisions could result in significant construction cost savings. Our drawings include the detail necessary to avoid being a painful IQ test for the contractor. Our goal is to solve construction challenges before construction begins.
