Kris Merritt is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in threat hunting and security operations. As the Founder and President of Vector8 since October 2016, Kris is committed to addressing complex security challenges through the right combination of people, tools, and processes. Current advisory roles include positions at Hunted Labs, Stealth Security Startup, Red Cell Partners, and Andesite, focusing on innovative security solutions across various domains. Previous leadership roles include Head of Threat Hunting Operations at Dragos, Inc. and CrowdStrike, where Kris established and scaled significant threat hunting services. Prior military experience as a Cyber Operations Officer in the US Air Force Reserve and an Advanced Detection Lead at GE Aviation underscores Kris's expertise in cybersecurity strategy and operational excellence. Kris holds a BS in Computer Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
