Luke Wang (Lei)

Luke (Lei) Wang is an experienced Application Scientist at VectorBuilder since February 2022, with a strong background in project management and GMP expertise gained at Habmann AufstiegsAkademie. Prior roles include serving as a Project Leader and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research, where significant contributions included leading research projects and publishing impactful findings in reputable journals. Luke’s early career involved research at the Max-Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology, with a focus on G-Protein Signaling and the molecular mechanisms of virulence in fungi. Academically, Luke holds a PhD in Life Science from The Philipp University of Marburg, a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Shandong Normal University.
