Alexander Gallego

Alexander Gallego is the Founder and CEO of Redpanda Data, where innovations include a Kafka® replacement that is faster, API compatible, and easy to use without requiring Zookeeper® or JVM. Prior to this role, Alexander served as Principal Software Engineer at Akamai Technologies, focusing on dynamic scheduling and next-gen virtualization with Kubernetes. As Founder and CTO of Concord Systems, Inc., Alexander designed and built concord.io, which is now part of Akamai. Early career experiences include positions as a Software Engineer and founding team member at YieldMo, as well as software engineering roles at FactSet Research Systems and Forex Capital Markets. Alexander holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Polytechnic Institute of New York University.
