Michael B.

Michael B. has worked in the software engineering field since 2006. Michael began their career as an Electrical Engineering Co-op at Emhart Glass in 2006. Michael then worked as a Validation Engineering Co-op at Intel in 2007 and 2008. In 2009, they worked as an Embedded Firmware Engineer at Sparta, where they developed Linux kernel drivers and provided hands-on support for customers. From 2013 to 2017, they worked as a Principal Embedded Firmware Engineer at Northrop Grumman Corporation, where they developed Linux Kernel drivers, C++ applications, and software products using advanced cryptographic algorithms and PKCS11. Michael is currently employed as a Senior Software Engineer at Envieta LLC since 2017 and will be transitioning to a Software Engineer role at Redpanda Data in 2023.

Michael B. attended the Rochester Institute of Technology from 2004 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering.
