Piyush Agarwal

Piyush Agarwal began their career in 2005 at Cisco Systems as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2010, they joined Nimbula as a Software Engineer to help deliver private cloud functionality. In 2012, they moved to Insieme Networks, where they were a Member of Technical Staff, building networking software components and features for distributed control plane. In 2016, they joined Google as a Software Engineer on the Google Assistant backend team. In 2019, they joined Rubrik, Inc. as an Engineering Manager, responsible for mission critical services and increasing the scope and responsibility of the Mongo backup team. In 2020, they joined Stripe as an Engineering Manager, responsible for the backend infrastructure powering Stripe's foray into in-person payments and commerce. Finally, in 2022, they joined Redpanda Data as the Director of Software Engineering, supporting the Core organization with a fully remote team and leading internal analytics efforts.

Piyush Agarwal completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Osmania University between 1999 and 2003. Piyush then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin, which they completed in 2005.
