Toby Jacobson has extensive experience in the field of engineering and business development. Toby is currently serving as the Advanced Composites Business Development Manager at Vectorply Corporation since January 2022. Prior to this, Toby held various roles at Shape Corp from 2007 to 2021 including Plastic & Composites Engineering Manager and Plastic & Composites Product Manager. In these roles, they led engineering teams across multiple locations and was responsible for product engineering, manufacturing engineering, tool engineering, process engineering, product design, and business development. Toby also played a significant role in implementing new technologies and products at Shape Corp, such as insert molding, multi-shot molding, wind turbine components, roof rails, active grill shutters, and carbon fiber bumpers. Before joining Shape Corp, Toby worked at Johnson Controls in several engineering leadership positions from 1997 to 2007. In these roles, they managed tool engineering and technical aspects of various manufacturing processes, leading large teams and overseeing multiple functions.

Toby Jacobson completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at Cedarville University from 1992 to 1996. Toby then pursued further education and obtained their Master of Business Administration degree in Business from Grand Valley State University from 1998 to 2002.
