Alex Hanson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Starting in 2004, Alex worked as a Laboratory Technician at the Institute for Watershed Studies, where they conducted water quality analysis and performed sampling events. In 2007, they transitioned to MWH Global, where they served as an Associate Environmental Scientist, conducting risk assessments and ecological surveys for various clients.
In 2018, Alex joined Apprenti as a Software Developer Apprentice, receiving AWS certification and gaining experience in React, Node, and serverless integrations. They continued their career at Effectual as a Software Developer, specializing in web and mobile application development using React, React Native, and AWS CloudFormation.
Currently, Alex is employed at Vector Remote Care, initially starting as a Software Engineer and later promoted to Lead Software Engineer. In this role, they lead the Core Team, manage technical projects, and prioritize work with stakeholders. They develop and maintain applications for cardiac remote care monitoring, utilizing tools and frameworks like Vue, Node, TypeScript, and AWS services.
Alex Hanson has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Environmental Science/Ecotoxicology from Western Washington University, which was earned from 2002 to 2006. Additionally, Alex attended Code Fellows in 2018 to complete a program in Full Stack Web Development. In terms of certifications, Alex obtained the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in June 2019, and the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification in March 2019.
