Rubina L. has extensive work experience in various industries and roles. Rubina currently holds the position of Chief Data Officer at VectorSolv Corp. since August 2020. Prior to this, Rubina worked as a Part-Time Professor at the University of Ottawa starting in January 2018. Rubina also spent time at Bell Northern Research as a Member of Scientific Staff, contributing to the development of services management systems for optical networks.

Rubina L. began their education at Marianopolis College from 1979 to 1981, where they obtained a Diplôme d'Études Collégiale in Pure and Applied Sciences. Rubina then attended Concordia University from 1981 to 1988, earning a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Communications Systems. From 1990 to 1994, Rubina studied at McGill University, obtaining a Master of Engineering degree in Communications. Most recently, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Digital Transformation and Innovation at the University of Ottawa, studying from 2015 to 2021.

Additionally, Rubina L. has obtained several certifications. In 2019, they completed the Accessibility Make-a-thon || Accessibilité Make-a-thon program at CEED/CGEC - uOttawa. In 2021, they participated in the CREATE-BEST Biomedical Engineering Smartphone Training Program at the University of Ottawa. Rubina also completed the Applied Data Science Program at MIT Professional Education in March 2023. Rubina holds certifications as a Professional Engineer (PE) from both Professional Engineers Ontario and the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, but the specific date of obtaining these certifications is not provided.
