Jon Burke

Jon Burke has worked in the software engineering industry since 1988. Jon began their career at Marconi Defence Systems as a Software Engineer. In 1994, they moved to Siemens Plessey Systems in the same role. In 1998, they joined General Dynamics as a Software Engineer. In 2000, they worked at Westell as a Software Engineer. From 2004 to 2022, they were Head of Software Engineering at Net2Edge Limited, developing new networking products and maintaining legacy networking/telecoms products (Python, C++). Jon also promoted software process improvements, particularly test automation. In 2022, they joined Lantronix as a Software Consultant, supporting software development for network switch (Python) and making design and code improvements. Jon also mentored staff in Python use. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at Veea Inc.

Jon Burke holds a BSc (Hons) in Computing Science from the University of East Anglia. Jon also obtained the Carrier Ethernet Certified Professional (MEF CECP 2.0) certification from the Metro Ethernet Forum in March 2014.
