Steve Calvert has worked in the software engineering industry for the past 38 years. Steve began their career in 1981 as a Software Engineer at GEC Research Ltd, where they gained a fantastic grounding in engineering. Steve then moved on to GEC Card Technology Ltd in 1985 as a Software Engineer, working on a contactless smart card in a standard credit card form factor. In 1989, they joined Performance Designs Ltd as a Design Engineer, where they were involved in embedded software development, as well as customer facing experience in requirements analysis, project proposal/presentation, and project management. In 1998, they became a Specialist Software Engineer at Lucent Technologies. In 2001, they joined IPWireless as a Principal Software Engineer, working on software development of the IPWireless TD-CDMA broadband products. In 2009, they worked as both a Software Engineer and Software Consultant at Ubiquisys. Steve also held the role of Director at Borlotti Ltd that same year. In 2016, they became a Software Consultant at Virtuosys Ltd. Most recently, they have been a Software Manager at Veea Inc. since 2018.
Steve Calvert attended the University of Southampton from 1982 to 1985 and obtained a BSc (Hons) in Electronic Engineering.
