Chin CS is an experienced engineering leader with a diverse background in development and research within the biotech and semiconductor industries. Currently serving as Director of Development Engineering at Veeco since May 2018, Chin previously held the position of R&D Engineering Director at Fluidigm Corporation, where instrument development for the biotech industry was a key focus. Prior roles include Engineering Manager at KLA-Tencor, where Chin led a team in developing advanced semiconductor wafer inspection tools, and Engineering Manager at Fluidigm Corporation, responsible for architecting a cost-effective bio-chip chemistry loading instrument. Earlier in the career, Chin was a Senior Engineering Manager at Kulicke and Soffa, leading a team in electro-mechanical module development, and began as a Research Associate at PEN Center, specializing in nanotechnology and laser-optics metrology. Educational credentials include a Master’s in Nanotechnology and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore.
