Eric Deguns

Eric Deguns has had a wide range of work experience in the field of technical sales and management in various companies. Eric started their career in 2006 as a Research Scientist at Catalytic Solutions, Inc. From there, they moved on to Cambridge NanoTech in 2008, where they held roles as a Senior Research Scientist and ALD Applications Scientist. In 2012, they joined Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum USA as a Program and Technology Manager for Thin Film Deposition. In 2016, they transitioned to Ultratech / Cambridge NanoTech as a Technical Sales Manager for ALD. Currently, Eric is working as the Lead Product Manager at Veeco, a role they started in April 2023.

Eric Deguns obtained their education in the field of chemistry, specializing in inorganic chemistry and catalysis. Eric first pursued a Bachelor of Science degree at Lakehead University from 1997 to 2001. Building on this foundation, they went on to pursue a PhD at the University of Ottawa from 2001 to 2003. Eric then continued their studies at UC Santa Barbara, completing another PhD in inorganic chemistry - catalysis from 2003 to 2006.
