Praneeth Kumar

Praneeth Kumar is the Co-Founder of VEGROW, a company aimed at making farmers the most reliable suppliers of fresh produce. Praneeth has 2 years and 3 months of experience with the company. Prior to VEGROW, Kumar worked at AgroStar for 4 years and 3 months as the Lead for Strategy and Innovation, Sr. Manager for Credit Business, and Manager for Strategy and Innovation. There, they were responsible for managing new states P&L and new business innovation, innovating data and technology driven solutions for making quality credit available for farmers, and transforming the Indian agriculture landscape by innovating across the geographies and cutting across the business verticals of product, marketing, operations & supply chain. Kumar also spent 1 year and 10 months at ITC Limited as the Operations Lead for ERP Taskforce and Assistant Manager for ICT Solutions - Innovation Cell. There, they created a comprehensive scope for the operations and modelling of the process and analytical requirements for the business operations and training requirements of business users. Praneeth also led sub teams to design integrated solutions, such as streamlining input distribution channels and real time price discovery. In addition, Kumar headed ICT Solutions vertical of ITC - ILTD's Innovation Cell and played a strategic & operational role in conceptualizing, designing, developing & implementing diverse technology solutions directly impacting business operations and thousands of farmers. The various solutions & technologies developed have received national & international recognition.

Praneeth Kumar has a Bachelor's Degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in Mechanical Engineering. Praneeth was involved in Robotics, IITM Satellite Team, Technical Affairs Secretary, Chess, and Badminton while they attended. Praneeth is also a Certified Sustainability Specialist in 'Global Reporting Initiative Framework GRI 3.0/3.1' from Global Reporting Initiative and a Certified Specialist in Biodiversity Risk & Opportunity Assessment from Earthwatch Institute.
