John Lawson

John Lawson has extensive work experience in software engineering and development. John is currently employed as a Senior Software Engineer at Vela, which is now part of Exegy. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Massive Analytic from September 2021 to October 2022. John also served as a Senior Software Engineer on a contract basis at Nomad Digital from February 2020 to November 2021. From June 2018 to September 2019, John worked as a Software Consultant at GE. Earlier in their career, they worked at Concept Systems as a Senior Software Engineer for a brief period in 2013. John began their career as a Python Developer at Ammeon from September 2003 to January 2006, where they developed Python-based interfaces for Nokia using Agile & Scrum workflow. John gained exposure to various technologies such as Docker, Puppet, cURL, and RESTful Interface development.

John Lawson has a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services from Durham University, which they obtained from 1997 to 2000.
