David Martín Suárez

David Martín Suárez has a diverse background in product design, teaching, and mentorship. David is currently the Chief Product Officer and Co-founder of Velada since November 2019. Additionally, they work as an Academic Mentor at UXER SCHOOL starting from November 2020. In terms of teaching, David has experience as a Professor at Universidad CEU San Pablo, where they teach in the International MBA in Marketing Management program. David has also served as a Professor at ESNE, Escuela Universitaria de Diseño, Innovación y Tecnología, teaching in the Master's program in User Experience.

In terms of work experience in the corporate sector, David has worked at Telefónica in various roles. David was a Product Manager from March 2021 to October 2022, a Design Lead from August 2017 to March 2021, and a Senior Product Designer from March 2013 to August 2017. In these roles, they collaborated with product managers to develop strategic products and services, designed prototypes and minimum viable products, and conducted design research and user testing.

Before working at Telefónica, David was the UX & Design Lead at Xtreamr, where they developed video solutions for broadcasters from August 2017 to May 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Freelance Product Designer from 2006 to 2016, providing design services on a project basis. David also worked as a Lead Designer at Cienciamania from January 2006 to September 2015, and as a Visual Designer at 2 de Mayo and GVAM from February 2011 to February 2013.

David Martín Suárez completed a Master's degree in Interaction Design, specializing in Usability and User Experience, at KSchool from 2012 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Valladolid between 2006 and 2011. Alongside their formal education, David also received additional certifications, including Virtual Reality Design Workshop from UXER SCHOOL in June 2018, and Tetuan Valley Startup School 22 from Tetuan Valley in December 2022.
