Scott Hawk

Scott Hawk has extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Their current position is VP and CISO at Velaspan, where they are responsible for building a comprehensive security program and infrastructure. Prior to this, they served as a Director at Acalvio Technologies, leading partner initiatives and promoting Active Defense in organizational networks. Additionally, Scott has worked as a Principal Managing Partner at Crimson Consulting LLC, providing guidance in leadership, technology, and business strategy. Scott also held various roles at Verizon Business, including Managing Director of Security Solutions Architecture and Managing Director of EMEA and APAC Solutions Architects. Before joining Verizon, Scott worked at MCI Telecommunications Corporation as a Director of Technical Consulting and in other management roles. Scott began their career as an Electrical Engineer at Raytheon, where they supported classified projects for the Navy and Department of Defense. Throughout their career, Scott has demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity, unified communications, and advanced networking.

Scott Hawk holds an MBA in Management & Marketing from DeSales University and a BS in Electrical Engineering Technology from Penn State University. In addition, they have obtained the SASE Expert Level 1 certification from Cato Networks in January 2021.
