Mark Sciarrotta has a strong background in the legal field. Mark began their career as an Associate at Martin Clearwater & Bell from 1997 to 1999. Mark then joined the Office of the Vermont Attorney General as an Assistant Attorney General from 1999 to 2008, where they handled complex civil and criminal litigation. In 2007, Mark started working at Vermont Electric Power Company (VELCO), where they held various positions including Senior Counsel, Assistant General Counsel, General Counsel, and currently serves as the Vice President and General Counsel. In their role at VELCO, Mark provides legal and policy advice, advocates before courts and administrative agencies, and testifies before legislative committees.
Mark Sciarrotta attended Rider University from 1989 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. Mark then pursued their Juris Doctorate degree in Environmental Law at Vermont Law and Graduate School from 1993 to 1996. Prior to their time at Rider University, Mark Sciarrotta attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 1987 to 1989, although it is not mentioned if they obtained a degree during this period. Additionally, Mark Sciarrotta also completed a program on EPC Contracts at EUCI.
