Vella Interiors is one of the most highly regarded boutique construction firms in New York City, catering to a select clientele.

Founded in 1988 by Michael Vella, exquisite workmanship with rigorous adherence to carefully considered design, budget, and deadline is the bedrock of the firm’s prestige and its guiding principle. An immediate and intuitive grasp of aesthetic intent down to the most intricate detail has earned Michael the pleasure of repeat collaboration with the finest architects and designers working today, as well as an impressive portfolio of publications.

The firm’s newly expanded 12,000 sf custom shop provides an atelier-like environment for the exceptional artisans and craftsmen trained in old world techniques who make each detail a work of art. Fabricators are supported by an expanded high-tech finishing department and the latest design technology. With the benefit of an innovative in-house shop, custom millwork details are overseen from mock-up to finished product.

Well versed in the languages of classicism and contemporary design, Michael’s unique expertise guides the culture of exacting standards, innovation, and artistry the firm is known for, carried out on-site by experienced job captains and project managers. A strong support staff keeps project information up to date, organized, and available to each project participant. Their commitment to each other as a collaborative in-house community, with recognition of the contribution each makes in the achievement of excellence, is a crucial aspect of why the consistency of service on every commission, regardless of scope, is never compromised.
