Sr. Software Architect (and founder) at Velocity Software

Barton Robinson has over 30 years of experience in the software industry. Barton began their career in 1985 as a Senior Manager at IBM. In 1988, they founded Velocity Software, Inc., where they served as a Sr. Software Architect. In this role, they were responsible for the z/VM Performance Management Suite of products, Cloud Enablement for z/VM, and numerous presentations and papers such as Capacity Planning for 1,000 servers (on z/VM) and Configuration Guidelines for z/VM. Barton'sfocus was on enabling the z/VM platform to minimize Total Cost of Ownership.

Barton Robinson attended the University of California, Berkeley, where they studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
