Velocity Ventures was founded to solve a critical challenge: startups and emerging companies often lack the resources to staff experienced product leadership—precisely at the time when it matters most. Early product strategy shapes not only the success of a technology but also the trajectory of an entire business. Without clear direction, even promising innovations can stall. Velocity Ventures provides embedded, executive-level product and technology leadership in a flexible model that meets companies where they are.

We specialize in bridging the gap between vision and adoption. Our work spans next-generation networks, enterprise technology, and emerging applications in areas like 5G, IoT, AI, satellite, and edge computing. We help clients shape product strategy, build and launch platforms, accelerate go-to-market, and foster the partnerships that create scalable ecosystems. From startups to established enterprises, we bring focus and momentum to critical moments—whether responding to solicitations, running customer pilots, or scaling products across new markets.

What makes Velocity Ventures different is that you don’t hire a faceless consulting firm—you work directly with our founder and principal, Ben Posthuma. Ben brings over 20 years of experience across defense, government research, startups, and enterprise technology. A former U.S. Marine, he understands the importance of systems that work the first time. He has authored five patents, built and launched multiple “as-a-service” platforms, and held executive roles including Vice President of Product in the telecom sector. His career has been defined by building ecosystems, forging partnerships, and shaping technologies that deliver real-world impact.

At Velocity Ventures, our mission is simple: to provide startups and innovators with the leadership, discipline, and experience they need to turn ideas into adoption-ready products that create lasting value.
