Gargi Nanda

Gargi Nanda, PhD, is a seasoned expert in the field of molecular genetics and oncology, currently serving as the Scientific Lead at Velsera since November 2019. In this role, Gargi leads a team of 20 in curating cancer biomarkers for clinical trials and optimizing the precision of IVD-grade medical devices. With prior experience as a Senior Genome Analyst at MEDGENOME, Gargi specialized in Sanger-based validation and improved the efficiency of genetic variant interpretation. Prior academic research at the Department of Atomic Energy, Homi Bhabha National Institute focused on uncovering genetic biomarkers associated with corneal dystrophy, resulting in significant publications. Gargi holds a PhD in Molecular Genetics from the National Institute of Science Education and Research and a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Sardar Patel University.
