Nitin Apte

Nitin Apte is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the renewable energy and materials sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Vena Energy since March 2018, Nitin leads the largest independent renewable energy company in the Asia-Pacific region, overseeing a portfolio of 185 assets with over 11 GW in various stages across multiple countries. Prior to this role, Nitin was the President and CEO of Materia from January 2016 to February 2018, where the focus was on developing innovative catalysts and advanced materials. Nitin’s career at SABIC spanned over a decade, where leadership roles included General Manager of High Performance Products and Global Marketing and Innovation. Earlier experience at GE Plastics included positions such as Materials Manager and Corporate Planner. Nitin holds an MBA from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, a Master’s in Operations Research from The Ohio State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
