Eric Smith

Eric Smith is a partner at Venable LLP, where they are a member of the corporate transactions and finance group, specializing in securities, mergers and acquisitions, and offshore wind. They represent public and private companies in various capital raising transactions and act as outside general counsel to numerous entities. With extensive experience across diverse industries, including biotechnology and professional sports, Eric has been actively involved in the U.S. offshore wind sector for many years. They hold a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Cornell University, a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law, and an LL.M in Securities and Financial Regulations from Georgetown Law. Prior to Venable, Eric worked as an attorney at McGuireWoods and served as manager and counsel at Schmidt Baking Company, Inc.
