Vikram Pyapali

Vikram Pyapali has extensive experience in the field of information assurance and security. Vikram started their career in 2009 as a Data Security lead at Alion Science and Technology, where they were responsible for leading efforts in the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation process. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as a Lead Consultant at IntelliDyne, where they evaluated the security posture of systems and provided technical vulnerability assessments for various government agencies.

In 2011, Vikram joined Battelle Memorial Institute as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for the DHS Science and Technology Directorate. In this role, they provided expert IA policy, risk, and technical advisory services, and managed the full lifecycle certification and accreditation process for mission-critical applications. Vikram also served as the Security Lead for a decision support incident management system.

From 2013 to 2014, Vikram worked at Acentia as an Information Assurance Engineer, where they led the DHHQ IA FedRAMP team, providing operational management for FedRAMP and Information Assurance engineering processes. Vikram also advised information system owners on FedRAMP and DoD security policies and requirements.

In 2014, Vikram had two roles. Vikram worked as an Advisory Information Security and Compliance SME at EMC, where they provided expertise in information security and compliance. Vikram also worked as an IA Architect at Imperatis Corporation, where they contributed to system security design and integration.

From 2015 to 2019, Vikram worked at Vencore Inc. as an Information Assurance/Security Policy Engineer Principal Technical Specialist. Vikram provided technical and programmatic information assurance services to both internal and external customers and ensured security requirements were implemented within organizations' business processes.

In 2019, Vikram joined Juniper Networks as a PS consultant, where they utilized their expertise in providing consulting services.

Currently, Vikram is working at Perspecta as a Senior Principal Technical Specialist, a role they started in September 2020.

Throughout their career, Vikram has gained experience in various aspects of information assurance, including designing security requirements, conducting vulnerability assessments, managing security projects, and advising on security policies and regulations.

Vikram Pyapali attended Osmania University from 1988 to 1991, where they studied Computer Science and Engineering. The degree attained during this period is unknown.
