Stefan Jol

Stefan Jol has a strong background in machine learning and quantitative analytics. Stefan started their career at TU Delft, where they completed research internships and worked as a student assistant. Stefan then gained industrial experience through internships at DSM and continued their education with a Ph.D. in Systems Biology at ETH Zürich. After completing their Ph.D., Stefan worked as a Senior Manufacturing Analyst at Vistaprint and later as a Lead Analyst for Manufacturing Strategy and Development at Cimpress. Stefan then joined Global Radio as a Revenue Management Analyst before moving to Expedia Group, where they held various roles, including Senior Manager of Quantitative Modeling and Operations and Director of Machine Learning Science. Stefan is currently the Director of Machine Learning at Vendr. Overall, Stefan's work experience spans both academic and industry settings, with a focus on machine learning, analytics, and strategic decision-making.

Stefan Jol's education history begins with their completion of the VWO degree at Grotius College Delft from 1995 to 2001. Stefan then pursued their Bachelor's degree in Life Science and Technology with a specialization in Biotechnology at TU Delft from 2001 to 2004. Stefan furthered their education by completing a Master's degree in Life Science and Technology at the same institution from 2004 to 2007. Stefan then joined ETH Zürich, where they obtained their Ph.D. in Systems Biology from 2007 to 2014.

Additionally, Stefan has obtained two certifications. In June 2015, they were awarded the "Modeling Contest Winner - Motorcycle Math" from CrowdANALYTIX. Moreover, in May 2015, they obtained the "Practical Machine Learning" certification from Coursera Verified Certificates.
