Carrie West

Carrie West has a diverse work experience that spans several companies and roles. Carrie started their career as an Academic Tutor at Drexel University from January 2010 to May 2013. In April 2012, they worked as a Contracts Analyst Intern at Chubb for a few months. Carrie then moved on to Voya Financial, where they held various positions. Carrie began as an Actuarial Intern from June 2013 to September 2013, and then worked as an Actuarial Assistant from October 2013 to February 2015. From March 2015 to June 2016, they served as an Actuarial Associate and was later promoted to Senior Actuarial Associate from July 2016 to May 2018. Carrie's most recent employment was at Venerable, where they initially joined as a Senior Actuarial Associate from June 2018 to February 2019. Carrie then progressed to the role of Associate Actuary from March 2019 to June 2020, and subsequently became an Actuarial Manager from July 2020 to February 2023. Presently, Carrie is serving as the Director Senior Actuarial Manager at Venerable, starting from March 2023.

Carrie West's education history starts with their enrollment in Drexel University from 2009 to 2013. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. Following their undergraduate studies, Carrie attended Villanova University from 2020 to 2023, where they obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. While at Villanova, they focused on Strategic Management Specialization within the MBA program. Additionally, Carrie has earned several certifications, including the Associate, Insurance Regulatory Compliance (AIRC) from LOMA in January 2022. Carrie also achieved the Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) status in December 2018, the Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA) designation from the Society of Actuaries in July 2017, and became a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) in October 2016.
