David Marcinek

​David is the Chairman and Senior Managing Director of Venerable Holdings, Inc.

Before retiring from Goldman Sachs in 2016, he was co-head of the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) Financing Group for the Americas in the Investment Banking Division (IBD) and co-head of the Insurance sector for FIG Americas.

Previously, David was head of Financial Institutions Risk Management within the IBD Americas Financing Group. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1998 as an associate and was named managing director in 2005 and partner in 2008. David earned a B.S. in Finance from The Pennsylvania State University in 1993 and an MBA from Columbia University in 1998.
