Heather Kleis

Heather is Venerable’s Chief Human Resources Officer and is responsible for leading all human resources strategy to support Venerable’s strategic direction, including talent management, succession planning, talent acquisition, organizational and performance management, leadership development, employee recognition, compensation, benefits and payroll.

Prior to this role, she served as Senior Vice President, Human Resources, with Voya Financial, and was responsible for leading and driving the talent and human capital strategy for the Annuity and Individual Life business, as well as with the Legal, Compliance and External Affairs, Risk and Human Resources functions. Heather joined ING in June of 2001 and was responsible for supporting various areas of the business throughout her tenure with ING and Voya. She led the Human Resources organization through significant change initiatives around overall HR strategy, culture, performance management, talent management, employee relations, organizational redesign and continuous improvement.

Prior to joining Voya Financial, Heather led Staffing and College Relations for Vermeer Manufacturing and began her career in recruiting with Northwestern Mutual Life. She received a Business Management degree in Human Resources from Central College.
