Ron Tanner

Ron Tanner has extensive work experience in the legal field. Ron currently holds the position of Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Venerable since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked at FS Investments where they served as Executive Director & Assistant General Counsel from January 2021 to July 2022, Director & Senior Counsel from January 2019 to December 2020, and Counsel from April 2016 to December 2018. Before joining FS Investments, Ron was an Associate at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP from April 2013 to April 2016, and at Proskauer Rose LLP from November 2011 to April 2013. Ron also had a Summer Associate role at Proskauer Rose LLP in May 2010. Other notable experiences include serving as a Legal Intern at InterDigital Communications in 2009, a Corporate Paralegal at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP from July 2007 to August 2008, and a Legal Assistant at Anapol Schwartz from May 2006 to May 2007.

Ron Tanner attended the University of Pennsylvania from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in History. Later, from 2008 to 2011, they attended the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. During the same period, they also pursued a Certificate in Business and Public Policy from The Wharton School.
