Michael Smith

Vice President - Treasury at Ventas

Michael Smith has a strong background in treasury management and finance. Michael started their career at Brown & Williamson Tobacco in 2003 as a Treasury Analyst, where they managed daily cash and investing activities, maintained cash forecasts, and was responsible for financial statements and forecasts. Michael also played a key role in the merger with RJ Reynolds, leading the integration process and training. In 2006, they joined the Louisville Corporate Services division of Brown & Williamson Tobacco as Manager of Income Tax Compliance. Michael then moved to Ventas, Inc. in 2007 as Vice President of Treasury, where they oversee daily treasury operations, acquisition due diligence and integration, cash forecasting, bank relationship management, debt management, and more.

Michael Smith attended the University of Kentucky from 1991 to 2004, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
