Paul Smith

Paul (Rick) Smith is an accomplished Packaging Engineer with extensive experience in the packaging industry. Currently employed at Ventek Solutions since April 2024, Rick previously worked at Sonoco from January 2018 to April 2024, where significant contributions included designing molded foam packaging and managing multiple projects to enhance product protection and efficiency. Prior to that, Rick gained valuable experience as a Packaging Engineer Co-op at NOVA Chemicals in early 2017, where innovative designs were developed to optimize materials and protect products for a national marketing campaign. Early in the career, Rick also held a merchandising solutions co-op position at Pfizer in 2016, overseeing the design and implementation of point-of-purchase displays for major brands. Rick holds a degree in Packaging from Michigan State University, earned between 2013 and 2017.
