Sonja Brits

Sonja Brits is a Technical Project Lead at Venti Technologies, responsible for overseeing an autonomous logistics solution project by breaking down contract phases into technical milestones, managing a tech team, and facilitating customer communications. Previously, Sonja held the position of Team Lead and Senior Systems Engineer, leading a diverse team in systems engineering activities, data analysis, and documentation management. Experience includes a role as Systems Engineer at Motional, contributing to various projects, and serving as a Master Thesis Student at Autonomous Intelligent Driving GmbH, focusing on semantic-based localization for autonomous driving. Sonja has a strong background in software development and architecture through roles at AMZ Racing and has foundational experience from internships and earlier employment in software engineering and vehicle autonomy. Sonja holds a Master’s degree in Robotics, Systems and Control from ETH Zürich and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic Engineering from Stellenbosch University.
