Simon Blakey

Simon Blakey started their work experience in 2000 as the Managing Director of Avonmore Developments, a private investment vehicle. Simon later became the Chair of the Investment Committee at Playfair Capital in 2019. In 2014, they became an Investment Committee Member at Angel CoFund, a private sector entity that supports SMEs and the UK business angel market. Simon Blakey also served as a Trustee and Treasurer for the Ian Parry Scholarship starting in 2022. Simon became a Board Director for Ventrata in 2016 and a Board Member for the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts in the same year. Additionally, they served as a Board Director for Chattermill from 2016 to 2022, a Board Observer for Vinehealth from 2020 to 2022, and as Chairman and Member of the Advisory Board for Specle from 2009 to 2020. Simon was a Board Member for Reposit from 2018 to 2020.

Simon Blakey's education history begins with their BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Birmingham, which they obtained from 1992 to 1995. Following this, from 1996 to 1997, they attended the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and successfully became a Passed Finalist. Finally, in 2005 and 2006, they pursued studies in Corporate Finance at the London Business School.
