Thomas Tharakan

Thomas Tharakan is a legal professional with extensive experience in the infrastructure and private equity sectors. Currently serving as Deputy General Counsel and Managing Director at Global Infrastructure Partners since November 2020, Thomas also contributes as a Committee Member of the Global Capital Committee at the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association. Previous roles include Associate and Managing Associate at prominent law firms such as Latham & Watkins and Linklaters, as well as Commercial Manager at the Open Data Institute. Thomas has been a Trustee at EASTSIDE YOUNG LEADERS ACADEMY since May 2013. Educationally, Thomas holds a Bachelor of Arts in Law from the University of Cambridge, completed in 2007.
