Miles Dotson

Tech Cohort Director at Venture Noire

Miles is a successful startup executive, technologist and research leader based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Currently, he leads Devland as Managing Partner - a venture studio focused on developing new pathways for venture creation in next generation utility infrastructure, automated small manufacturing, immersive web technology and transmedia storytelling. He focuses on designing sustainable ecosystems that forge job creation through new ventures, alternative funding models, corporate innovation engagement and applied R&D.

His capital markets experience stems from time spent as an Research Advisor to several private equity firms, and as Director of Private Investments at Atlanta-based CG Capital.

Miles currently serves as a mentor for the UC Berkeley Blockchain Xccelerator, and Zoo Labs Accelerator and is a member of Venture Noire's community.

He obtained his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Miami. While at the University of Miami, he conducted research in audio integrated symbolic language modalities at the University of Rochester with funding from the National Science Foundation and the Ronald E. McNair Foundation.
