Bill Grothe started their work experience in 1989 at MobileComm, where they served as the Senior Vice President & CFO leading a team of senior-level financial directors. Bill oversaw financial reporting and controls, managed business acquisitions, directed licensing activities, and high-level negotiations. In 1996, they moved to WorldCom as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, where they led a team of 15 in assessing, planning, and executing corporate acquisitions and divestitures. Bill collaborated with senior executives to identify opportunities and develop strategy recommendations. In 2003, they joined KLLM Transport Services as the President & CEO, where they directed a seven-person executive team and coordinated activities for 1,800 employees. Bill crafted business strategies, presented recommendations to the Board of Directors, and oversaw financial management and stakeholder relations. After leaving KLLM in 2008, they worked at Silver Fox Communications as the President & CEO from 2009 to 2011. Bill then joined BCI in 2011, serving as the Vice President of Corporate Development and later as the CFO. Finally, in 2013, they joined VSS first as the CFO and later promoted to the COO role.
Bill Grothe attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1973 to 1977 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
