Marcus Thompson

Marcus Thompson has served as the Chairman of HPEF Capital Partners Limited since 1992 and holds the position of Senior International Adviser and Chief Representative for the United Kingdom at Venturous Group. Previously, Marcus was a Committee Member of the Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association from 1996 to 2001 and an Asia Council Member for the Global Private Capital Association between 2015 and 2018. Earlier in their career, Marcus worked as a Manager at John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Ltd. and as a Portfolio Manager at Silverfleet Capital. Marcus earned a Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences/Law from the University of Cambridge and a Barrister-at-Law qualification from the Inns of Court School of Law, later enhancing expertise through the Wharton Society of Fellows program.
