Patrick Nguyen has worked in a variety of roles since 2011. Patrick began their career as a Tae Kwon Do Instructor/Assistant Instructor at McGill University in 2011. In 2013, they worked as a Mine Process Engineering Intern at TOTAL, where they conducted research, tabulated and categorized more than 600 solvent-related oil sands extraction processes, developed a process flow and mass balancing tool, and utilized the tool to compare the economics of different solvent extraction processes. Also in 2013, they worked as a Metallurgical co-op Intern at Taseko: Gibraltar Mine, where they managed the mineral processing plant reagent and consumables inventory, performed analysis of ball mill grinding circuit efficiency, carried out daily monitoring of the thickener, and assisted in a field study of new reagents for increasing copper recovery in the rougher flotation circuit. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as CTO at Virtual World Arcade, and from 2019 to present they have worked as CTO & Developer at Venu.
Patrick Nguyen attended Langley High School and then went on to McGill University, where they received a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Materials Engineering.
