Nevaan Perera has a diverse range of work experience. In 2014, they worked as a Mathematics and English Tutor for World Vision and as a Child and Youth Worker for the Son-Rise Autism Treatment Program. In 2015, they began working at St. Lawrence University, where they held multiple roles, including being a Peterson Quantitative Resource Center Tutor, a Residential Assistant, a Library Assistant, an Information Technology Technician, a Computer Science Teaching Assistant, and a Computer Science Research Fellow. In 2017, they became a University Residential Coordinator Search Committee Member. Nevaan also served as the President of Omicron Delta Kappa from 2017 to 2018. In 2018, they worked as a Front End Engineer Intern at VEOCI. Currently, since 2019, they are employed as a Software Engineer at Veoci.
Nevaan Perera completed their high school education at Royal College, Colombo 7, Sri Lanka from 2000 to 2013, where they focused on Mathematics (Advanced Level). They then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a minor in Statistics and Psychology at St. Lawrence University from 2015 to 2018. In addition to their formal education, Nevaan also obtained various certifications and completed courses in subjects such as AWS Lambda & Serverless Architecture, Advanced Javascript Concepts, Advanced Vue.js, Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner, Machine Learning & Data Science, and more.
