Chen ZHANG is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the solid waste and recycling sectors, currently serving as Senior Vice President at Veolia since May 2017. In this role, Chen leads a portfolio of six projects, achieving significant financial performance and operational efficiency. Previous positions include Head of Strategy & Marketing for Asia/China, where Chen was integral to the Asia Investment Committee and the development of the regional strategic plan, and Senior Innovation & Markets Manager, focusing on macro-level strategic analysis across Asia. Chen's earlier experience includes a role as Technical Sales Manager at Siemens, where Taiwanese offshore wind projects were successfully launched, and as Climate Change Lead Verifier at Bureau Veritas, overseeing numerous carbon reduction project verifications. Chen holds a Master’s degree in Energy and Environmental Economics from AgroParisTech, a Diplôme d’Ingénieur in Environmental Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences from Fudan University.
