Claudio Kohn

Claudio Kohn has extensive experience in the water and wastewater industry. Claudio is currently working at Veolia as the National Technical Specialist in the North East Region, where they lead audits. Claudio also holds a position as a Researcher and PhD Candidate at the University of Technology Sydney.

Before that, Claudio worked at Veolia as a Technical Specialist and Service Engineer from 2017 to 2020. In these roles, they provided technical support to customers, conducted troubleshooting, and implemented water system upgrades. Claudio also gained experience in process engineering for various water treatment technologies.

Prior to Veolia, Claudio worked as a Water-Wastewater Consultant at SodaStream International, Ltd. from 2012 to 2016, where they provided consulting services in water and wastewater management.

Claudio also worked as a Senior Water Engineer and Project Manager at Claqua- Water & Waste Water Consulting from 2011 to 2016. In this role, they specialized in water management, strategy, and waste management, and managed projects for the installation of technologies in industrial plants.

Claudio's earlier experience includes working as a South District Supervisor at the Ministry of Health Israel from 2011 to 2012, and as a Project Manager at Bio Pure Technology from 2008 to 2011, where they focused on wastewater treatment with membrane technologies.

Claudio started their career at Mekorot in 2003 as a Process Engineer, where they designed and operated wastewater treatment plants, optimized soil aquifer treatment processes, and provided process engineering services for ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis.

Overall, Claudio Kohn has a diverse background in water and wastewater management, process engineering, and project management.

Claudio Kohn began their education at Ort Ein Harod in 1995, where they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering, earning a PE certification in 1996. Claudio then went on to The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Water and Soil Sciences from 2002 to 2005. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering at the same institution from 2005 to 2007. Currently, Claudio is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Engineering at the University of Technology Sydney, starting in 2021 and expected to be completed by 2027.
