Lillian Li

Lillian Li is currently the Director of Government Relationship and External Affairs at Veolia and serves as the Vice Chair of the Carbon Market Working Group for the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China. Previously, Lillian held the position of Associate Director of Government and Regulatory Affairs at Standard Chartered Bank from 2022 to 2025 and worked as Vice President of Strategic and External Relationships at HSBC from 2018 to 2022. Lillian's earlier experience includes project management at the British Embassy from 2015 to 2017 and an HR Manager role at Sinopec between 2011 and 2015. Lillian earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in critical theory from the University of Nottingham, where they also served as a Teaching Assistant in 2009.
