Oriol Flaquer has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the procurement and purchasing field. Oriol started their career at Valeo as a Production Buyer. Oriol then worked at Renault as a Corporate Commodity Manager, where they implemented purchasing policies and conducted evaluations for overseas plants. After that, they joined AUSA as a Group Purchasing Manager, responsible for 80% of global commodities. Oriol implemented cost reduction plans and optimized the company's working capital. Following that, they worked at Gemalto as the North America Purchasing Director, managing a team and improving operational efficiency through key performance indicators and procurement processes. Currently, Oriol is the Group Senior Vice President of Operational Efficiency at Veolia, where they lead a multicultural team and implements purchasing centralization and an ERP system. Oriol also served as the Chief Procurement Officer at Veolia LATAM + IBERIA, leading a large team and achieving significant purchasing savings through strategic planning and a purchasing network.
Oriol Flaquer completed their Executive MBA from IESE Business School between 2009 and 2011. Oriol obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from 1997 to 2003. Additionally, they participated in the Erasmus Exchange Program at INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon from 2001 to 2002. Lastly, they conducted their Master Thesis on the topic of "Make or Buy in the Automotive Industry" at Jönköping University from 2002 to 2003.
