Sergio Corbo

Sergio Corbo has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the energy industry. Sergio is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Emera since 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Commercial Officer at Veolia from 2016. Sergio was also a Board Director at RFE Investment Partners from 2015 to 2019. Sergio has worked at GE as the Chief Commercial Officer & CMO of GE Energy Management from 2010 to 2016. Sergio also founded and served on the board of Industrial Energy Efficiency Coalition from 2011 to 2014. Sergio has held multiple roles at Schneider Electric, including Vice President of Strategic Marketing & International and CEO of Renewable Energies. Sergio was also Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions and Business Development at Schneider Electric. Additionally, they served as a Board Director at the Solar Energy Industries Association and worked as an Adjunct Professor at Belmont University. Prior to that, they held leadership positions at Magnetek, including President of Asia and Global Business Development.

Sergio Corbo received their education with a focus on law, finance, and executive education. Sergio attended Vanderbilt University Law School in 2007 to study Law and Finance of Mergers and Acquisitions. In 2003, they completed their MBA in Management at Vanderbilt University. Sergio also pursued executive education programs, including those at General Electric Crotonville, where they studied senior executive education, leadership, innovation and growth, and executive education. Sergio further enhanced their knowledge in various areas through programs at Northwestern University, University of Chicago, Stanford University Graduate School of Business, and Università degli Studi di Firenze. Sergio earned a Doctor degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from both the University of Strathclyde and Università degli Studi di Firenze between 1993 and 1995.
