John Esser

John Esser has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Their most recent position was as the Chief Executive Officer at Veracity Solutions, starting in November 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal Consultant at the same company from September 2018 to November 2018.

Before Veracity Solutions, John held the position of Sr. Director Cloud Operations & IT at AdvancedMD from December 2015 to August 2018. John also worked at Ancestry.com as the Director Cloud Engineering from February 2014 to December 2015, and as the Director DevOps and Agile Development from March 2010 to February 2014, where they led DevOps and Agile transformations and introduced key DevOps practices.

John's earlier experiences include working as VP of Engineering at OneGreatFamily.com from April 2008 to March 2010, as Director Software Engineering at Control4 from July 2003 to March 2008, as Manager Software Engineering at OneGreatFamily.com from January 2001 to July 2003, and as Director Software Engineering at Callware Technologies from July 1998 to December 2000.

Their career began at IBM, where they worked as a Staff Software Engineer from January 1990 to August 1997. John also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Corel Inc from June 1998 to September 1998, and at Coresoft from August 1997 to June 1998.

John Esser obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Brigham Young University. This educational journey took place from 1984 to 1992. Additionally, John received a certification as an American Mensa Member from the institution of American Mensa in May 2019.
