Derek Maki

Derek Maki is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in product management and innovation. Currently serving as Vice President of Product Management and General Manager at Veracode, Derek leads the Veracode Risk Manager product team, focusing on enabling security teams to assess threat exposure effectively. As a Senior Advisory Board Member at Dune Security, Derek contributes to the development of the first Employee Security Posture Management platform. Previously, Derek co-founded Longbow, a Cloud Risk Remediation SaaS platform acquired by Veracode, and held significant roles at McKinsey & Company as Associate Partner in Cyber Security and Deloitte US as Senior Manager in Cyber Security. Derek began the career as a Network Engineer at State Farm after earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Technology from Purdue University.
