Sr. Strategic Account Manager - Va/international at Veracyte

Larry O'Brien has had a successful career in sales and management. Larry began their career at Cardinal Health, where they worked as a Distribution Generalist and turned around an underperforming territory, increasing sales from $5 million to $17 million annually. After that, they worked at Disetronic Medical Systems as a Territory Manager and then as a Regional Accounts Manager, where they won new contracts with managed care organizations and renegotiated existing contracts, achieving profit increases.

Larry then joined Given Imaging as a Territory Manager, where they spearheaded the sales of capsule endoscopy technology and increased the install base from 6 accounts to 28 in Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas. Larry then moved to Caris Diagnostics, where they worked as a Sales Director and played a key role in establishing training programs and driving growth.

Larry's next role was at Miraca Life Sciences, where they started as a Regional Vice President and was later promoted to the role based on their success as a Sales Director. Larry trained and led a team across 20 states, increasing the number of accounts and revenue. Larry also designed and implemented a training protocol.

In 2013, Larry joined Harborview Medical / Confirmation Lab Testing as the Vice President of Sales. Larry developed and implemented sales strategies, maintained strong relationships with physicians, and grew volume and revenue.

Finally, Larry currently works at Veracyte, Inc. as a Senior Strategic Account Manager, focusing on the VA and international markets. Larry is responsible for managing key accounts and has played a role in the development and execution of sales strategies.

Larry O'Brien attended the University of Iowa from 1983 to 1987, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies.
